| Ultram is an analgesic that can relieve moderate to moderately severe pain following surgery such as cesarean section, hysterectomy, hip replacement or other bone surgery, and dental surgery. Ultram also helps relieve chronic pain associated with cancer, nerve pain, or low-back pain.
If you experience any of the following serious side effects, please stop taking Ultram and seek emergency medical attention or contact your doctor immediately:
1. an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives)
2. seizures.
3. Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur. Continue to take Ultram and talk to your doctor if you experience
4. dizziness, drowsiness, or headache;
5. nervousness, tremor, or anxiety;
6. nausea, vomiting, constipation, or diarrhea; or
7. itching, dry mouth, or sweating.
Ultram is addictive. Physical or psychological dependence can occur, and withdrawal effects are possible if the medication is stopped suddenly after prolonged or high-dose treatment. |
