| Vioxx is a drug used to reduce inflammation and ease mild to moderate pain for such conditions as arthritis, painful menstrual cycles, or pain after dental or surgical procedures.
Serious side effects of Vioxx are stomach and intestinal bleeding, swelling of face, lips, tongue, difficulty breathing or swallowing, acute kidney failure and worsening of chronic kidney failure, nausea, tiredness, itching, tenderness in the right upper abdomen, and flu-like symptoms. When you use Vioxx and this happens to you, contact your doctor right away.
More common side effects associated with Vioxx include:
1. Upper and/or lower respiratory infection and/or inflammation
2. Headache
3. Dizziness
4. Diarrhea
5. Nausea and/or vomiting
6. Heartburn, stomach pain and upset
7. Swelling of the legs and/or feet
8. High blood pressure
9. Back pain
10. Tiredness
